IRMO, SC (WIS) – One person is dead and two others are injured after a crash on St. Andrew’s Road Monday evening.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) said the crash occurred on St. Andrews Road near the intersection with Leisure Lane at 8:45 p.m.
A 2017 Toyota Prius traveling west on St. Andrews Road struck a 2007 Toyota Camry traveling in the opposite direction, according to SCHP.
Irmo Fire District (IFD) officials responded with Lexington County EMS and noted there were “several patients with critical injuries” in a Facebook post Monday evening.
SCHP said the driver of the Prius was the only person in the vehicle and was taken to Prisma Health Richland for treatment. There were two people in the Camry: the driver, who was also taken to Prisma Health Richland, and the passenger, who police said died at the scene.
No information has yet been released about the identities of those involved.
